 Meet the Owners John Allen, P.E., G.M.B., C.G.R, C.A.P.S, C.G.P., is a licensed residential homebuilder, a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in the State of Alabama, a Graduate Master Builder (GMB), a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and a Certified Green Professional. A Mechanical Engineering graduate of Auburn University, John is a member of the Alabama/National Society of Professional Engineers, National Association of Home Builders, and a member of the Board and Executive Committee of the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association (HMCBA). He served as a City of Madison Planning Commissioner from 2000 - 2007. He is a member of the Madison Rotary Club. John is the 2008 Past President of the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association and a past chair of the Builders Association Remodelers Council. Currently, he is serving as the Green Building Subcommittee Chairman for the HMCBA. He has been engaged in the construction industry for over 15 years, with expertise in the areas of project management, foundation, structural, and HVAC design, as well as lighting and interior finish selection. John recently was accredited as a NAHB National Green Building Program Verifier, of which there are only four in the state of Alabama. Bob Goff, G.M.B., C.G.R., C.A.P.S., C.G.P. is a licensed residential home builder in the State of Alabama, a Graduate Master Builder (G.M.B.), a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR), a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), and a Certified Green Professional (CGP). A graduate of the University of Tennessee, he holds Masters degrees from Webster University and Auburn University. He is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association, and member of the Remodelers Council. Associated with the construction industry for over 30 years, Bob has specific expertise in electrical and network services, data and telecommunications, framing/plumbing design, and project management. Education and Designations: As you can see, we believe that it is important to be well trained and informed about current issues, methods, and technology. We believe you never stop learning, and you can't know everything. Therefore, we take every opportunity to increase our knowledge and capabilities in order to best serve our customers. Thus the designations. These designations, GMB, CGR, CAPS, and CGP are a result of extensive training on a variety of subjects concerning the building process, the industry, issues, techniques, and technology. Some of these designations take years to acquire. They not only provide a builder increased knowledge and experience, but they also provide a potential customer with the knowledge that the builder values that training and the process of becoming a better building professional. In our local Huntsville/Madison County Builder's Association, there are only four GMB's and four CGR's. We are two of each of those.
